Marty questions whether this killer could be something other than human. Jane brings Marty home & oh my god this Brady bitch is gonna die! Whatever his funeral. But of course, Brady & Marty are too busy flying kites to be bothered by a little thing like having their guts squeezed out of their mouths by a supernatural creature.īy the way, Marty’s ripped. All this brutal manslaughter causes a curfew to be put in place in order to keep everyone safe. He gets scared by Itsy Bitsy & a plant.Īpparently the werewolf has very strong feelings about the treatment of plant life & bursts through the floor to impale the guy. Meanwhile this asshole is about to be a nice dinner for the werewolf as he investigates what’s breaking his pots. She then reprimands Red for his drinking around Marty. Uncle Red shows up & he & Marty play a nice game of cards before his mother makes him go to bed. However the werewolf comes in through the window & basically rips her to shreds before the old lady downstairs can find her revolver. Speaking of divorce, the woman that Jane saw during the meeting is planning to commit suicide because her significant other doesn’t believe that the baby she’s pregnant with is his.
Once the four of them get home from the town meeting Marty & Jane make up & talk about their Uncle Red who seems to be the drinking & divorcing type. But that doesn’t matter! Let’s blame Marty anyway! To be fair it was Marty’s friend Brady who seemed to traumatize her the most. She explains that her brother was quite the burden for her growing up even though he really wasn’t that bad. During all this we have a narrator explaining things a bit, this turns out to be Marty’s sister Jane. And by attacked I mean the werewolf Falcon Punched Arnie’s head off. The movie starts off with Arnie, the drunken rail road worker, being attacked by the werewolf. It was directed by Dan Attias & was released in 1985. The movie adaptation of Cycle of the Werewolf is called Silver Bullet. The protagonist we have is a paraplegic boy named Marty who is the only person to fend off the werewolf & find out who it is. There’s a killing every month coinciding with the full moon.
The story is about the town of Taker’s Mills & its residents being plagued by a werewolf. The book also features artwork by Bernie Wrightson who is of course most known for Swamp Thing. But today we’re going to be reviewing Cycle of the Werewolf versus Silver Bullet.Ĭycle of the Werewolf is a 1983 novella in which each chapter is a different month of the year.
